Dark Parasite Demo

Oh man, sorry there Pedro and Gino for the last post, i haven`t checking my blog lately.
 
Well, she is actually an original character for Dark Parasite, a Top Down Shooter H-Game finally got the demo up today, I apologize who`s been waiting for either Gladiatrix Slave or SHEVC, and really it`s my fault for keep adding projects.But i ensure you i will not abandon past projects.

So about Dark Parasite, it`s a Top Down Shooter H-Game with tentacle rape theme, if you`re  a Marionette Patron you probably have play the early build.

I`m not alone on this, lukenukeas helping out for the pixel art and Zoggy working on the level design. Hopefully it will get done as fast as we could.

  2. Since I'm broke and can't support financially, might as well give some thoughts.
    The Main Menu seems to have a lot of problems in which it's displayed with another screen's contents. I've seen the intro+MM, control screen+MM, and game over+MM.
    H-animations could use some sound.
    A few thoughts on reloading. I encountered a problem where I used up all of my Pistol ammo. It would then forever reload, leaving me unable to switch weapons. It'd be nice if I could cancel reloading by switching to another weapon. Also, it'd be nice if there was a reload time indicator.
    The intro is pretty slow; a skip or maybe an option for faster text speed, or a system where you push a button for the next line so you can read at your leisure.
    The ceiling lights are strange; they look like I should be able to bump into them. Maybe making it transparent would give the illusion that it's on the ceiling. Also, some lights seem to be flashing but the
    ceiling light itself seems pretty bright.
    Game felt a bit slow-paced due to the long corridors yet low stamina.
    Another bug where when I ran into an enemy on purpose. After charging it several times, it teleported through the wall, or so my map says.
    Doors are a bit strange; I can see the door slide into the wall and have it sticking out of the other side. Maybe two smaller doors that withdraw into both sides of the wall would be better.
    Walls are a bit weird. You kill something and you might see splattered enemies on top of the wall.
    Character rotation is a bit weird.
    Just a few thoughts. Hope it helps. There's also a post on ULMF about it, so maybe take a look over there too as well as join the forum and talk about it with them.

  3. Hrm, rather than WASD moving your character in the directions regardless of orientation, it should be relative to how the character is facing. So rather than W making them move up, it should be them move forwards (relative to where they're looking). Also, instead of the character actually moving when they turn, they should be able to spin in place with no movement.

  4. Played it, liked it. Alot! This game has alot of potential imo, other that some slight control/hitbox issues the game feel really well made. I will be awaiting the release! I have one addition or actually the opposite. Can you remove the enemies from the radar? When I didnt realise that the enemies would show up on the radar it felt really spooky and immersive. The radar give you some direction which is good but takes the exitement away. Impregnation/eggs as in the character walking around with a big belly or her slowly being inflated by cum would be awesome by the way! but that is just a personal preverence haha, make the game however you want and dont feel pressured.

    1. Fixed the player movement yesterday, so she will not "jump" outside of the map.

      Yeah, someone just suggest when the bug attach to your body it will lay egg on you and if you don`t heal it will spawn another bug from the character.A concept i really like :)

  5. Wow this is awesome, no wonder why you've been so busy, it's a huge work, and very well done imo. I'm particularly impressed with the music+fx side, it works nice. And that larva attached to the nipple, well that's something :)

    For sure it's a great start. I'm with DarkxLuck in some of his observations, but it's just polishing what you've already got.

  6. Oh i got the same ammo prob as Dark but it happens with the melee weapon... pretty annoying...

  8. I can't seem to get the demo to run; a window pops up that says "Failed to load plugin" followed by a filepath in some Temp folder that contains about 6 .csx files.

  9. One bug iIve noticed happens with the way you have the rotation setup. If you're standing next a wall and slowly rotate, you end up outside the wall into the blackness. The only way I've found to get back in is to find a corner and do the same trick to get back inside the demo area.

    Other than that I like the concept and pixel artwork. What kind of system are planning to use to restore health? I didn't find anything in the demo.

    1. Fixed the rotation movement yesterday.I think it will be fine now.

      Oh, there`s a health pack to restore your HP (not included on the demo) but the infection % cannot be cured and it will determine your ending story you will get at the end.
